“It’s never too late” is a cliché that’s coming to life in Holland, thanks to an innovative program that teaches adult orchestra musicians. The HSO NEW HORIZONS program is geared exclusively to seniors who would like to play string instruments, but don’t have a venue or opportunity.

Did you play an instrument in school, but haven’t picked it up since? Do you have a string instrument sitting in a closet somewhere that you can’t bear to get rid of? Are you wishing you could play again for fun, for a social activity, with no pressure to compete or be perfect? Maybe this group is for you!

The NEW HORIZONS STRING ORCHESTRA will meet once a week for 90 minutes. The meeting time will be determined by the interest of the members. The level of the group will be determined by the membership; everyone is welcome, no matter what ability you might have. The goal is to have fun making music!

If you are interested in this unique opportunity, please contact the Holland Symphony office.  If you know of someone who might be interested in NEW HORIZONS, please pass this information on!
